Hey everybody, David Ursino talking to you about Vaughan real estate as always.  You may have heard that Google maps has taken away their real estate feature in the past couple of days and is that really earth shattering news?  I’d say it falls more in the “ah who cares category”  In fact the reason they took it down is that they cited low usage.  People just weren’t using it.  When it comes to searching for real estate people typically don’t go an look at Google maps.  They’re looking at realtor.ca or mls.ca because that’s where everything tends to be. Although the public MLS system does tend to be a little outdated by a couple of days.  You might see a property on there that you think is brand new and by the time you call in about the property, it’s already been sold. So that’s what’s going on with Google maps, they’ve taken away their real estate feature.  That’s as of February 10, 2011.  So if you have an agent telling you that Google maps is the way to go in terms of online marketing, make sure you tell them no it’s not because it’s getting cancelled Feb 10.  You need a much stronger online marketing campaign than just Google maps.  So that’s it for now if you have any questions related to this or anything else related to Vaughan real estate by all means shoot me an email.  I’m at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
